Community Work

Community WorkOur charitable mission is to support non-profit organizations which address cancer research, patient care, and the needs of children at risk.

Current initiatives are focused around Children's Hospital Boston OWL Program, The New Balance Foundation, Dana Faber, The National Brain Tumor Society, and local schools.

Energy's current charitable efforts include:

Energy’s Philanthropic Fitness Program in collaboration with Children’s Hospital Boston's OWL Program and The New Balance Foundation

Energy Fitness has teamed up with Children’s Hospital Boston OWL (Optimal Weight for Life) Program and The New Balance Foundation to provide OWL patients with fitness training solutions and healthy lifestyle management.

Energy Fitness recognizes that creating and maintaining healthy lifestyles for families and children can be challenging. On a national level, nearly 20% of children in the U.S. are overweight or obese, and that number spikes to 40% in low-income areas.

Our mission is to provide high-quality, no-cost fitness training services to patients currently enrolled in the OWL Program at Children’s Hospital Boston. Through Children’s, OWL patients receive the best multidisciplinary clinical care and strategic lifestyle management consulting available. Energy’s goal is to complement this care by providing OWL patients with quality fitness training regimens that are designed to maximize their efforts and promote healthy lifestyles. Extra emphasis is placed on making these fitness regimens fun in order to ensure long-term commitment. Energy helps OWL participants recognize and celebrate their fitness goal achievements, and helps cultivate positive self-image and increased self-esteem.

Fitness Program Goals:

  • Strategic fitness training for overweight and obese children
  • Long-term commitment to self
  • Quality role modeling for the parent-child relationship
  • Transformed physical and mental health
